Over 50 Years of Youth Football

Meet the Board of Directors

Board Members

Director - Cole Shaffer
About Cole -
This is my 7th year with BYFA. I chose BYFA because they approach the game in a similar fashion to what I grew up with. Focus on fundamentals, safety, and creating a passion for the game. Great coaches.Football teaches kids personal responsibility, self-discipline, and more than any sport in the world teaches kids teamwork. Only sport that requires every kid on the field to do his job every play to make it work. That teaches valuable lessons about being a good teammate and working in concert with others to achieve a common goal. Skills that last a lifetime.
- I have a wonderful wife and an daughter and son, both of whom have played in BYFA Flag Football. In my spare time I'm an amateur sports car racer and I own an automotive parts business with locations in Broomfield, Boulder and Sterling, CO.

 - Erin Ford
About Erin - This is my 8th year as a BYFA parent, and my 6th year involved with the board. I was that Mom 8 years ago who had a son obsessed with football worried about letting him play because of safety concerns. I realized that I couldn't let my fear stand in the way of my son's passion. So, I talked and talked and talked (and talked...) to other BYFA parents, BYFA Board members and even other leagues before deciding that the commitment to safety at BYFA was comfortable to me. We haven't looked back and love being a part of the BYFA Family. I am the very proud Mom to a 14yo son and an equally as proud stepmom to a 23yo son & 20yo daughter. I work as the Senior Director of Partnerships of North America for a startup accelerator in Boulder. I am honored to support the families of the Broomfield area.

Information Officer - Peggy Thomson

Assistant Director -
Chuck McIntire
About Chuck
I have been involved with BYFA for 18yrs and on the board for 15yrs. BYFA makes me feel that whether I was a Parent on the sidelines, Coach in the box, advocate or voting board member, I have always been part of what makes this league the best. One of the most important things I feel BYFA  teaches our youth is there are always highs and lows in life, but it's having the support around you that helps you back on your feet and guides you in the direction of success. I've been married forever, I have a Daughter and a Son. We enjoy the outdoors- camping, motorcycle riding, hunting fishing etc.

Board Member - Marty Coffman
About Marty - As a former BYFA player, it is exciting for me to continue to be involved. I have been coaching with BYFA since 2001 and been on the board since 2005.
Board Member - Pat Stacy
About Pat - Pat has been coaching youth football for 31 years, 18 of those with BYFA.  As a coach and former Director of BYFA, Pat’s main focus is ensuring the kids have fun while learning the great game of football.   When he is not coaching football, Pat enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling with his girl, Shawna.
Board Member - Jason Worley
